OUR STORY

WHERE BAM BEGAN

BAM Business Village grew out of real workplace experience.

After more than 16 years with the Oregon Department of Revenue, I had attended many trainings on customer service, collections, communication, and workplace development. Some were helpful, but many did not fully connect with the reality of the work we were actually doing. There were policies, limitations, pressures, and day-to-day challenges that an outside presenter could not always see.

That experience shaped the way BAM Business Village was created.

When a business hires BAM, we do not want to walk in with a one-size-fits-all presentation. We want to understand the organization first. We listen to leadership, but we also believe it is important to hear from employees — the people doing the work every day.

Our goal is to find out what the team truly needs, where the challenges are, and what kind of support will make the biggest difference. Then we shape the workshop around that workplace, those employees, and those goals.

Because meaningful training should not just sound good in the room. It should make sense when people go back to work.

MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND BAM

Meet the People Behind BAM

BAM Business Village is family-owned and built around something we both believe deeply: people matter. When people feel heard, respected, supported, and valued, the workplace has a clearer path forward.

Lou-Ellen Bissell

Lou-Ellen Bissell

Lou-Ellen brings more than 16 years of experience with the Oregon Department of Revenue, along with a background in collections, customer service, communication, and workplace support. Those years gave her a front-row seat to what works in training — and what does not. She created BAM Business Village with the goal of making workplace training personal, engaging, and connected to the real needs of the people doing the work.

Telissa Albrich

Telissa brings her own perspective and works alongside Lou-Ellen to help shape workshops around the needs of real teams and workplaces. Together, they believe good training starts with listening — to leadership, to employees, and to the challenges people are actually facing every day.

As a mother-and-daughter team, BAM is personal to us. We care about the people behind the business, not just the business itself. Our goal is to provide guidance, tools, and direction that support communication, confidence, connection, and a workplace culture people can feel good about being part of.

Together, we believe businesses move forward when the people behind them are heard, respected, and supported.

BAM!

OUR MISSION

WHY WE DO THIS

To provide businesses and organizations with engaging, on-site workshops that offer guidance, useful tools, and meaningful experiences designed to support communication, connection, confidence, and forward movement in the workplace.

Real Workplace Guidance

Every workshop is built around real workplace situations—not abstract concepts. People leave with guidance and tools they can continue using after the workshop ends.

People First

We believe growth starts with people. When employees feel heard, respected, and equipped, the whole organization benefits.

On-Site, Every Time

We come to you. Learning is most effective in the environment where the work actually happens — and that's where we show up.

Shaped Around You

No two workplaces are the same. Every BAM experience is tailored to the team, the goals, and the specific challenges of the organization.

THE BAM APPROACH

GUIDANCE BEYOND THE WORKSHOP

BAM workshops are designed to keep people engaged, involved, and thinking. Depending on the workshop, people may receive composition notebooks, printed materials, BAM Brain Break activities, guidance tools, and resources they can continue using long after the workshop ends. We don't just present—we create experiences that stick.

  • Hands-on activities and meaningful discussion
